ITC

In-the-canal (ITC) hearing aids are custom-made to fit in the ear canal and are recommended for people with mild to severe hearing loss:
- Features: ITC hearing aids are custom-fit to the shape of your ear, and can include controls for volume and memory. They can be rechargeable and compatible with Bluetooth technology.
- Pros: ITC hearing aids are less visible than larger custom styles, and are more discreet than behind-the-ear models. They can be a good option for people with dexterity problems.
- Cons: The small size of ITC hearing aids may be challenging for people with dexterity issues. The small batteries require more frequent changing.
- Size: ITC hearing aids are larger and more noticeable than Completely In the Canal (CIC) and Invisible In the Canal (IIC) hearing aids. They are slightly smaller than In The Ear (ITE) aids, but sit only in the lower part of the ear.
- Batteries: ITC hearing aids generally use size 312 zinc-air button batteries, which are color-coded brown. 312 batteries have a lifespan of between 5-7 days
